Hello and welcome to Ashton Coaching, my name is Leanne Ashton. I have chosen coaching and personal training as a career because people and health matter. My coaching style focuses on creating clarity about what’s important and what motivates us into action. I place a strong emphasis on developing self-responsibility and encouraging accountability for our own actions. If we are not getting the outcomes we want, then the question is “What do we need to do differently?”
I have worked as a coach since 2008 and have worked with professionals from New Zealand, Australia, and the Pacific Islands, focusing on behaviour and communication management, emotional intelligence, change, and strategic life and career planning. In 2012 I became a qualified personal trainer and since this date I have been training clients specialising in body and lifestyle transformation. As a personal trainer I work with busy professionals looking to improve their health, fitness, and work-life balance. In my previous working life I spent over twenty years working in the corporate world, where I gained extensive experience in leadership, management, project management and business improvement.
Plus, I have been fortunate to spend six years living in the Pacific Islands (Tonga, Solomon Islands and the Cook Islands). This provided me with a wonderful opportunity to experience different cultures and work with clients from all walks of life. I believe that in order to achieve our maximum potential we must first understand our real self. For me, coaching and personal training aligns perfectly with what is important to me and allows me to lead the life I chose. In my spare time I enjoy keeping fit, weight training and walking my dog Lucy, whom I adopted from the Solomon Islands.
